Tokyo Institute of Technology has been selected as the electronic materials devision of “MEXT Elements Strategy Initiative to Form Core Research Center”.
Under supervision of Prof. Hideo Hosono, we will carry on developing novel inorganic materials.
The research term is from August 1, 2012 till 2022.

Two graduate students, Mr. Okabe and Mr. Nogami, and four undergraduate students, Mr. Kaminaga, Mr. Kudo, Mr. Takanaka and Ms. Niwa have just joined us.
Mr. Wei Liu, who has graduated from East China University of Science And Technology China, has also joined as a research student.

A new project has begun:
Research and Development Program for Innovative Energy and Efficiency Technology of the 2011 fiscal year (NEDO).

A new project of “Research and development of extremely-large-breakdown-voltage Ga2O3-based power devices” has approved to continue through intermediate evaluation of the half-year-term preliminary research in the last year.
This project is a corroborative work among Kyoto University, Tokyo Institute of Technology, National Institute of Information Communications Technology, Tamura Co. Ltd., and Koha Co. Ltd.
The research term is from July 15, 2011 to Feb 28, 2014.
